Community Relations

"At CWM, we believe that our business is part of the community within which it exists. We have a responsibility to make positive contributions to that community".

Gary M. Arford

PAWSwalk Sponsor - Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)
In addition to the two legged members of our community, every CWM team member shares a devotion for the furry four-legged members of our families. Each year we eagerly anticipate the (usually sunny) PAWSwalk where thousands of avid animal lovers and their dogs walk to raise funds in support of PAWS, a nationally recognized leader in rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless pets, and educating people on how to make the world a better place for both humans and animals. (Since 2009)

Member and Corporate Sponsor - Bellevue Arts Museum (BAM)
CWM is proud to be a member and corporate sponsor of the Bellevue Arts Museum. We believe that supporting the art community is vital in sustaining cultural integrity, visual language, and legacies of Northwest artists. Through this commitment we help to ensure that these artists have a place to explore and share their art, craft, and passion.

Kris’s interest in business development and previous experience with BYU led him to join the Seattle Chapter of the BYUMS, which is affiliated with BYU Marriot School of Management and brings together people who desire to broaden interpersonal relationships, advance their careers, and establish a deeper connection to the business community through rendering meaningful service to individuals and organizations.

Board Member - Sno-King Youth Club

Prior to her official position on the board she worked with the organization to setup and sponsor the annual Running of the Balls fundraising event. (Since 2008)

Donor - Woodland Park Zoo
Linked to our interest in animals and environmental education is the preservation of species through the Woodland Park Zoo. In addition to annual contributions to support conservation and public education forums, donations have been made towards the zoo's efforts to create a new entrance to the park and and to fund the creation of a new sanctuary for penguins (Look for the 'Arford' anchovy in the penguin courtyard).
